About Us — FelineNest
Hi, I’m Wahsay Ahmed.
I’m the founder of FelineNest, a website dedicated to helping cat owners make informed, confident decisions about their pets through clear, research-based information.
Like many people, I didn’t grow up knowing much about cats. That changed in 2023, when two kittens—Whisker and Mochi—came into my life and completely changed the way I saw them.
As a first-time cat owner, I had countless questions. Why did Whisker knock things off the table in the middle of the night? Why did Mochi sometimes purr when she seemed stressed? What food was actually healthy, and what was simply clever marketing?
Finding reliable answers wasn’t easy.
So I started learning.
Over the next two years, I spent hundreds of hours reading veterinary resources, breed standards, feline behavior books, nutrition guides, and scientific research to better understand cat health, behavior, grooming, and nutrition. I also gained valuable day-to-day experience caring for my own cats and applying what I learned in real life.
That journey inspired me to create FelineNest in 2025.
